Behaviour Practices

Our Commitment to Safe and Supportive Behaviour Practices
At Purple Aurora SEND Short Breaks, the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every child and young person we support is our highest priority. All our staff are trained in Team Teach, a nationally recognised behaviour support programme that equips professionals with the skills to:

-
Use proactive and preventative strategies to reduce incidents before they escalate.
-
Apply calm, low-arousal approaches that respect each person’s dignity.
-
Confidently support children and young people with autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, and complex needs.
-
Safely and respectfully manage situations that may require physical intervention, only ever as a last resort.
This training ensures our team can provide short breaks that are safe, inclusive, and responsive to individual needs, while fully complying with Ofsted, CQC, and Health & Safety regulations.
By combining Team Teach strategies with our deep understanding of SEND and person-centred support, we create environments where children and young people can:
-
Build confidence and independence
-
Learn and practise life skills
-
Enjoy positive peer interactions
-
Access meaningful activities in the community
When you choose Purple Aurora, you can be confident your child will be supported by a highly trained, compassionate team dedicated to their safety, comfort, and personal growth.
